This is my entry for the contest theme "Paper" of the photographer's club ~FriendlyPhotography
Concerning the theme, I chose this motive to remind of the fact that paper is not only a thing we all use to write, draw and paint on for pure fun - It is also a medium for emintently significant knowlege. Knowlege, which means power, knowlege which has shattered empires, knowledge for which people died for. Paper has been an important carrier of this knowledge for hundreds of years. So remember to treat old books with care.
I made 1st place in the contest and got featured in this news article : [link] :woot:
Oh, not actually, but I've shot a similar photo: [link] - But yours is much better than mine. I wouldn't ever thought that a violet-like color would fit so well a photo like that.
Checked out your link - your pic is cool ! You should do more like that
Yeah, I tried out a lot with colour filters recently. Often with some colour the details of a motive come out much clearer than without the filter. Weird.....
But I think I will keep going on experimenting with colours
I know what you mean, it is a bit of a shock when you win or are just recognised for your efforts in some small way. I had forgotten i had entered the contest so it was a nice surprise. Thank you so much for all your kind comments.
We want to know what love means to you!
Get your creative juices flowing and design a movie poster for "Paper Heart" that focuses on the theme "What Does Love Mean to Me?".

The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
Hello there! This news article is the result of a thumb share thread I posted few days ago on the dA forum along with pictures from my favorites. I hope you enjoy them.
